Design

Braun has designed the M90 exceptionally well. The contrast of the ultra-dark blue and silver finishing looks sleek and modern, while the shaver body sports nicely rounded edges for good ergonomics.

The most impressive aspect of the design is the twist cap which rotates around to protect the shavers foil when it is not in use. The main benefit of this design is that you don’t have to worry about losing any fiddly foil protector cap when travelling. The twist cap also extends the length of the handle by rotating a full 180 degrees, so you have a more comfortable grip whilst shaving.

In Action

The Braun M90 Mobile Shaver employs some of Braun’s most innovative shaving technologies. The wide floating foil is thin and flexible, so it adapts to your facial contours to deliver a close, smooth shave without irritation. The smart foil excels in cutting hairs which have grown in different directions by using foil patterns which are unique.

Despite the good quality shave it provides, the foil doesn’t do a good job in capturing longer hairs, so we advise that you use either a disposable shaver or the built-in trimmer to handle these.

We were pleased to see that Braun has included a trimmer in the MobileShave. The trimmer is on the small side, but is pretty effective for tiding up those sideburns.

Battery Operated

The Braun M90 Mobile Shaver runs on 2 AA batteries, so there is no need to worry about voltage compatibility or power adapters when you travel aboard. 2 AA Duracell batteries are included for your convenience, saving you the additional expense of purchasing them separately. For the best performance we advise that you use lithium AA batteries as these have a very good shelf life.

Battery life is impressive; giving you about 50 minutes of shaving time from 2 fully charged cells.

Washable

Unlike many other travel shavers, the Braun M90 can be cleaned under running water which is a nice plus. A small cleaning brush is attached to the razor, making clean-up a snap.
